So I arrived at the retreat center in beautiful Minnesota to a group of very warm and friendly people. Bishop Fuentes, the Moderator for the National Church was as warm and knowledgeable as I expected him to be. All the priests and lay people were so open and welcoming to me.
I met Bishop Michael and he was a welcome change from previous encounters with OC Bishops.
Tonight was mostly a meet and greet, and time to unwind from the trip. Tomorrow starts the hard work of the National Church, lots of prayer and education on coniliar ecclesiology as well as a workshop on, "Respectful Listening -- Opening the Mind" (A workshop on consensus building).
It was a great day and I look forward to tomorrow.
